We had jokingly talked about it before, due to the fact that my husband’s company is headquartered in Denmark, and he had to travel to Europe so often. But then, all of a sudden, it was real. They really wanted us to move.
It was hard, it was stressful, it was sad, but it was exciting. What an opportunity. For us and the kids to get out of our comfort zone and experience the world.
We had tons of help- family, movers, a mobility company to walk us through the process. I seriously don’t know how people move to other countries unassisted, I salute you.
So, as soon as school ended, and my sister-in-law, Melanie, got married, we left.
