We moved to Østerbro, a district just north of City Central (Indre By.) We live in the southern part, conveniently enough, right beside Østerport Station and the U.S. Embassy (and Russian.) It’s a lovely part of Copenhagen. It is a family friendly area, with parks everywhere, shopping. It’s close to the kids school and a short walk to downtown Copenhagen.
The obligatory and infamous (in my opinion totally underwhelming) Little Mermaid statue is a few blocks away.
But just around the corner is….

The much cooler and more impressive Gefion Fountain. One of my favorites.
More exploring of the new hood-

Viking Andrew and Katherine
Loving the Danish hydrangeas. Reminds me of home.

Nyhavn is the image you would find if you googled Copenhagen. It has the colorful buildings and is on the harbor. Very picturesque. We are about a 20 minute walk from here.
